Changing the blog

Thinking about making some changes to this blog! This started as a place to sell my creations, since that is at a creative stand still, I am just going to share things in life. Anecdotes, happenings in our lives. let me know what you think!

Finished Topiary

Here's what it looked like all
done up with the gift cards!

This was a gift for S's teacher for the end of the year, sadly, she is going to be caring for her sister as she heals from surgery because of Breast Cancer! We are hoping this helps them a little get through the next few weeks, the parents were so generous & donated cards from Panera, Subway, McD's, Blockbuster and Visa! Pink & green are her fave colors and in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness we used lots of pink!
It was a fun project to make & now that I have done it, I know how to streamline it a little more!

Can' stand the cuteness! A Pink & Green Topiary

OK, I have outdone my self this time & i am not even done yet with this project but i have to show you all cause i am sooo freakin excited & shocked that i made this....here it is so far:



start with a styro. ball, dowel, acrylic paint, terracotta pot, crap load of flowers cut out of pattern paper, straight pins, ink.......

crinkle the paper, ink it if you want, curl it, etc.....start pinning to the ball, totally randomness, which is sooooooooooo me

paint the pot

keep pinning, add some sparkly flowers with the glue gun

add polka dots to the pot then distress

Almost finished

I have to do some more distressing & add some grass

I never made this before so I am sharing my excitement...can you tell!
